The Girls’ Ultimate Movement is excited to welcome its first six Ambassador Teams!

This new program is designed to connect some of the nation’s best adult club teams with girls’ ultimate outreach efforts in their local communities. We are excited to pilot the program in 2018 with these six teams:

  • Boston Brute Squad
  • Chicago Machine
  • Philadelphia AMP
  • San Francisco Fury
  • San Francisco Revolver
  • Seattle Mixtape

“We believe strongly in the power of sport to make a positive impact in peoples’ lives, and especially the way that sport can serve as an antidote to all the negative messaging our society gives women.” – Chicago Machine

Each team is committed to hosting at least one GUM clinic in their community each year, with organizational and promotional support from USA Ultimate, and be part of GUM events at the U.S. Open in Blaine, Minn. The Ambassador Teams will also support GUM online, using their social media channels to promote girls’ and women in ultimate, as well as GUM-specific efforts. You’ll also see the teams sporting some great GUM gear!

“We are excited to work with GUM to help promote women’s ultimate at the youth level. We want to make sure that young women have opportunities to play and learn from visible role models in the sport.” – Boston Brute Squad

GUM continues to grow and evolve each year; the new Ambassador Team Program is just one example. We hope members of the ultimate community everywhere continue to support GUM and girls in ultimate.
