As part of the Girls Ultimate Movement (GUM) initiative, USA Ultimate introduced a webinar series in 2026 aimed at helping girl and woman matching players connect with and learn from each other. Recordings of past sessions are below.

Tournament Prep

A big thank you to our speakers, Jillian Keaveny, Emma “Willy” Williamson and Skylar Gladney for sharing their time, expertise and experiences. 

Jillian gave us some great information on nutrition and the suggestion to develop a plan for a tournament to stay fueled. Willy gave us some great tips on creating a Mind Gym to help work on confidence, visualization and being mentally prepared. And Skylar gave us her inside tips on what to pack for a tournament (specifically for YCC) and how to enjoy living in the moment and enjoying the fun uniqueness of YCC!

Leadership

Dare to see yourself as the leader you inherently are. 

Leaders play a major role in setting the tone and shaping the experiences of a team and its players. Captains and coaches are a major part of that, but you also don’t have to be a captain or a coach to be a leader on your team. Our first GUM UnWrapped conversation features strong female leaders who have learned how to empower their players and create welcoming and inclusive environments for their teams, while also fostering the competitive spirit that matches their team’s culture.
